Michelle joined NTSB Board Member Alvin Brown’s office as his Special Assistant in May of 2024. She previously served as a Special Assistant for Engagement in NASA Administrator Bill Nelson’s Office from August 2021 to May 2024, and as the U.S. Senate as the Northeast Florida Regional Director for Bill Nelson through January 2, 2019, a position she also held from 2003-2011. She served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown, the city's first African American Mayor, from 2011-2015, after which she worked with a number of area nonprofits including the Jacksonville Symphony and Feeding Northeast Florida. A graduate of UNF, Michelle holds an MAMC from the University of Florida and an MA in International Relations from Durham University in England, where she attended as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar.
