I am a degree qualified and experienced marketing manager with particular expertise in digital marketing and the tourism sector. I have held a variety of marketing management roles in both large and small organisations including for a start-up in the tourism technology sector where I was head of their marketing efforts. My time at Air New Zealand early in my career set me up well to fully understand the importance of strategic planning, and applying both brand and tactical marketing strategies. Being Brand Marketing Manager for Tomahawk, New Zealand's leading tourism digital marketing agency, is an opportunity I am relishing. The team is highly skilled with an amazing culture, which provides an environment where we are able to continuously up-skill our expertise.As Marketing & Sales Manager for Salt Air from late 2010 until Jan 2022 based in Paihia, Bay of Islands I enjoyed being part of a successful tourism operation with both marketing and general management responsibilities. I have also operated my own marketing business since July 2008 offering services to small businesses focussed on helping them with website development, online marketing/SEO, and online bookings systems.In February 2010 I launched the Tourism Industry Blog/Group as an online community to share business articles and discussions with New Zealand tourism businesses and organisations which has evolved into a strong LinkedIn Group.
