Michelle M. Adey, the 6 year old daughter of Michael Adey and Mary Carmel (Adey) Wolf, died in 1982 due to Cystic Fibrosis. Thanks to the help of friends and family, the Michelle M. Adey Memorial Fund was established in her memory to assist other families whose children face serious illness of any category.It is the longest running fund of this kind in the area, and operates primarily in the greater Utica-Rome region. Since its inception, the Michelle Fund has disbursed over $730,000 to more than 300 families whose children suffer from cancer, leukemia, heart disease, cystic fibrosis and various illnesses. Several accident and burn victims have also been helped.
