Successfully led and steered my department through challenges associated with the largest acquisition in credit union history (January of 2011), a $5 billion merger for a credit union serving 320,000 members in 39 branches, and with notable high tech company clientele such as HP, CISCO, Microsoft, Nike and Amazon. Built and managed a highly successful sales team in both roles, spearheading the delivery of meeting and/or exceeding mortgage sales goals attained through both retail and remote channels by setting and executing strategic goals to completion. . Continually oversees the generation of a solid pipeline of business for the department. Conducts formal annual reviews for each to coach and mentor in areas where lacking, and to commend performance in areas each individually excels. Launched and managed commission plans instituted to motivate each staff member. Devised and managed the Mortgage Origination department’s annual budget, ensuring expenditures were aligned with set goals and strategic action plans. Scrutinized sales statistics in an effort to determine borrower needs, volume potential, and devise sales campaigns that were in alignment with credit union goals. Directly communicated with Mar/Com, and carried out market research on promotions/products and services. Served as a liaison between the sales department and other non-sales related departments. Built and managed wholesale mortgage broker relationships. Crafted and delivered presentations made to Executive Team and Senior Management. Presided over the daily activities and contributions of four retail branches, including the lending department, auto buying service and security. Charged with overseeing the sales and effective delivery of credit union loan and saving products to satisfy members. Effectively generated 1st mortgage sales, keen to maintain a focus on balancing the needs and desires of prospective homeowners within the parameters prescribed by the credit union. Implemented a sales culture within retail locations positively resulting in restructuring branch personnel in a manner that led to attaining optimal performance
