The Tobacco Cessation Supervisor in the Prevention Services Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment serves as the state expert in tobacco cessation and tobacco-related health systems change. • Provided leadership and advocacy for population health approaches to institutionalizing tobacco treatment within routine medical care, optimizing benefit coverage and mitigating barriers to care access. • Spearhead the identification and strategic implementation of interventions, which reduce the cessation-success gap among low-SES youth and adults, and encourage the widespread recognition and treatment of tobacco dependence as a chronic condition. • Served as an appointed member of the state Tobacco Review Committee.
