I teach two courses in the Data Analysis and Visualization program (LLM's and Data Visualization). Most recently, I've taught ChatGPT and LLMs, which introduces the technical foundations and methods of application (i.e., fine tuning, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and customization) of large language models. I developed labs for text summarization with LangChain, calling the HuggingFace API to use datasets and models, fine tuning BERT and LLaMa2 for sentiment analysis and question answering, and more (Python, Fall 2023).I have also taught Data Visualization and Design with Tableau, focusing on data literacy and visual communication.

Aligned materials and assessments to NYS Common Core State Standards. Curated and developed materials and designed the interface for video-based aural assessments, and wrote passages for reading, writing and mathematics. Led the translation of mathematics assessments into 8 languages utilizing 4 scripts.

As a special projects staff member, I proposed, developed and implemented a formal training program for new language trainers. I trained speakers of 8 languages to analyze their languages and discover the rules for teaching, and lead the development of new language training materials and established a template for future expansions.

Taught Mathematics to in-service Teachers, and co-developed a Lusoga language textbook for the Busoga Cultural Research Center. I was awarded a grant to convert an unused room into a library and oversaw its construction, and coordinated local teachers to write and publish books in Lusoga. These books formed the basis of the culturally-sensitive Lusoga phonics program I developed with teacher input.
