Michelle Atanu, OTR, MOT is an accomplished occupational therapist specializing in children's holistic development with an inclusive emphasis in family co-regulation and community integration. As the founder of Avilo Pediatric Solutions & Consulting in 2012, she and her team use their expertise in child development, sensory processing, behavior regulation and social-emotional wellness to provide therapeutic intervention, consult, train and lead communities with solutions to help children thrive. Holding leadership roles such as Standards and Practice Chair for the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, advisory board member for PIMA Medical Institute, and founder of Occupation in Motion, a 501c3 organization, Michelle's impact encompasses a broad scope. As an advocate in her field, Michelle creates space for community solutions, including founding and hosting the Occupational Therapy Association’s Entrepreneurs Symposium for the Texas Occupational Therapy Association’s annual conference, pioneering innovative early childhood and family programs, and engaging in research projects to further her mission to provide community solutions.
