Focus of this particular role is ensuring that outcomes are delivered to support the Group to achieve its strategic goals by leading a 40+ business development team with clear objectives and working with key stakeholders to deliver its strategic ambitions.My recent work has required strategic and creative thinking, formulation, decision making and direction for the Group. At the forefront leading a number of strategic programmes and changes which has required me to bring together people and businesses internally and externally.

A growth role, expanding on responsibilities which focused on the business development and marketing strategies for all of business to consumer legal services. Personal legal services represented 70% of the Group’s total revenue per annum. This role was a leadership role which required appointment, participation and engagement in a number of executive committees and boards.

National

UK responsibility for the strategic marketing and business development of the personal injury (PI) division at Irwin Mitchell.Development and implementation of business development and communication strategies for the PI division.To manage the PI communications team to ensure that all agreed communications objectives and activities are implemented within the branding guidelines.To prepare annual budgets and plans for the BD&C function and manage all resources and activities to agreed objectives.

National responsibility for the marketing activities, planning and development of the personal injury (PI) division. Developing and implementing short and medium term marketing plans.To deal with national communication activities (advertising, PR sponsorship etc) and all local and regional communications.To manage and co-ordinate all office related activities.To manage and control the department and office marketing budgets.To co-ordinate the production of all tenders and new business presentations for the office and the department.Responsible for a team of people and management of staff and distribution of workload
