Apple Valley Family Child Care

Owner and Director of a Successful, licensed Family Child Care program located in CT. My program offers a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children 6 weeks to 6 years old in accordance with the State of CT Family Childcare licensing regulations and the NAFCC Accreditation standards. All meals and snacks are prepared in accordance with CACFP regulations, with a focus on locally grown produce and whole grain products. Curriculum and meals are planned with the children in mind, and often with their assistance. Outdoor/Nature play are an integral part of the program, with the children spending some part of every day outside.

Assistant Director of a successful, licensed Child Center in Southington, CT. Licensed for 136 children birth to age 12. As the Assistant Director, I was tasked with curriculum development for the seven classrooms which held the children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. I also handled Continuing Education for all Teachers, as well as data management, bookkeeping, and teacher observations. I interacted with families on a regular basis, offering support for difficult issues, advice on typical behavior, and a myriad of other topics.
