Bernth is the Executive Director for AGAPE, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the hungry, hurting and homeless in Warren County. Michelle is responsible for overseeing fund development, marketing/communications, program development, volunteer management and budgeting.Prior to joining AGAPE, Michelle served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Volunteer Development for the American Lung Association, Plains-Gulf Region. In that role, she supervised the marketing, media relations, publications and volunteer management and development for a 9-state region. Her previous work with the American Lung Association includes leading both the Public Policy and Health Promotions departments. In her past positions, she was the Vice President of Communications for Community Health Charities, the largest health-related federated giving organization. Additionally, she was Director of Communications at the American Red Cross. Michelle is a talented graphic designer, who has created everything from individual logos to full-scale national campaigns. Additionally, she is a prolific public speaker. She often speaks at community, university and professional events. Michelle also does nonprofit consulting, specializing in strategic planning, board training, program development and marketing and branding.
