Dual leadership role in the University’s largest department (over 100 academics):(1) Led teaching, learning and assessment and the wider portfolio team comprising student experience, academic quality and equality, diversity and inclusion leads. (2) Designed and delivered teaching, learning and assessment at various levels – UK and International. Led teaching and learning / equality diversity and inclusion innovation in a year-long project that redesigned and rationalised the entire department’s undergraduate, MBA, online, and apprenticeship courses. This was achieved to target, officially commended and shared as best practice.Initiated the creation of an Inclusive Curriculum Consultant programme, where paid students work with academics to improve diversity within the curriculum and inclusion in the classroom. Ensured teaching and learning practice exceeded sector benchmarks – for example in 2023 the Department was one of 4 departments that demonstrated student satisfaction above the overall Office for Students sector benchmark.Created and delivered regular staff development programmes for the department and led the extension of this offer into a successful collaborative college-wide initiative. This approach was consequently adopted by another department within the Business School.Secured funding for, and led, a successful field trip for 40 widening participation students to a partner institution in Botswana Increased cross-faculty student engagement in the Placement Rep. scheme by 129% in 2 years.Refocused the application process for the Common Purpose Leadership Award to include enhanced opportunities for students covered by both widening participation and inclusivity ambitions. Within 18 months of taking over leadership of the Common Purpose Scheme secured over 100% attendance against target for both Level 5 and Level 6 programmes. This was the first time in the history of the programme's delivery (over 5 years) that this had been achieved.Module leadership and teaching of undergraduate and post graduate courses.
