Michelle Chuang is the Co-founder and COO of Supersolid, a London-based mobile game studio.She began her career in games right after the college in the early 2000s. For a few years, she worked as a marketing/game artist, developing Java/J2ME based mobile games in the pre-smartphone era.When Facebook started to take off, she joined the social game developer Playfish, which was later acquired by Electronic Arts. She was a key person in the conceptualisation, development and production of some of their most popular social games such as Pet Society and Restaurant City, defining the iconic "Playfish" visual style.She decided to start her own game developing studio with a few of her ex-colleagues in 2012. Together they founded Supersolid, and their first game Super Penguin became hugely successful in South Korean within the first year.Supersolid has now grown into the size of 50+ and made five games with more than 50 million downloads in total worldwide. Its latest title, Snake Rivals, figures real-time multiplayer battle arena and has won the best casual game in TIGA Games Industry Awards 2019, which also shortlisted Supersolid for Independent Studio of the Year and Outstanding Leadership Award.In her own time, Michelle supports several women's charities. She was a Women of the World Gamechanger and a volunteer at the speed mentoring session for young girls at the WoW Festival for many years.She is a member of the ForbesWomen Forum, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and was shortlisted for Women in Games Awards in 2016 for Creative Impact.
