As a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) in Nishinoshima Town, I was in charge of planning international and intercultural events, including lectures and discussions, workshops, and language courses. I provided English language support for teachers at Nishinoshima Elementary school once a week, and designed and implemented monthly English lesson plans for children aged 3-6 years at two local daycare centers. In addition to event and lesson planning, I also assisted with daily functions at the Nishinoshima Town Board of Education and provided support for community education events. These duties included greeting customers, helping with running the library, event preparation and support, and participating in school and community events as a member of the Board of Education.For customers seeking help with language or international activities, I offered a variety of services to support their needs. These include language and culture courses, help with practicing written and spoken English for formal functions, arranging cultural exchange courses with Nishinoshima Elementary School, providing translations of official documents for relocation to foreign countries, and assisting with application processes for overseas activities.

As an Assistant Language Teacher, I provided English language teaching support to six teachers at Matsue 4th Junior High School. Classroom duties included demonstrating proper English speaking techniques, encouraging students' enjoyment of learning about foreign languages and cultures, and assessing student learning.Outside of the classroom, I created and managed a weekly schedule of English lessons for 19 classrooms. Every week, I assessed and responded to over 200 student journal entries, and provided assistance with assessing classroom assignments and exams.To supplement student learning, I used classrooms observations and assessment results to create worksheets and activity plans addressing various areas of difficulty. In addition, I also designed and created an English bulletin board with articles and activities that featured the grammar and vocabulary being taught in the classrooms.

My daily duties as a substitute teacher in Washington State were to follow written instructions from teachers for conducting lessons, monitoring students in class and during activities outside the classroom, conducting assessments of student learning, and writing reports for the classroom teacher. The classrooms where I assisted ranged from Kindergarten to 6th grade, and changed on a daily basis.This experience challenged me to adjust quickly to a variety of school and classroom environments, and taught me the importance of planning ahead for a variety of situations. Although every location I visited was different, I was able to learn a lot about the structure and culture of each school by seeking opportunities to communicate with other staff and faculty members. With their input, I was able to better understand the needs of the students and was better prepared to handle unexpected situations.
