Employ a consistent Risk based approach to independent monitoring and testing to provide assurance that processes and controls are operating as designed to meet program expectations and mitigate regulatory risks. • Responsible for monitoring and testing SVB Financial Group is to ensure the business adheres to the applicable laws, regulations, and/or policies. (AML. BSA, Reg P, CCPA, GLBA, FINRA, SEC, CAN-SPAM, Etc.)• Accountable for identifying weaknesses and reporting issues such as control gaps, controls that are not operating effectively or as designed, violations of laws, regulations, standards, or policies. • Validating key assumptions, data sources, and procedures used in measuring, monitoring, and compliance risk to ensure they can be relied upon. • Collaborate with Compliance Advisors, and Legal Counsel to determine the type of issue identified to appropriately report the breach classification. (i.e., Regulatory, Legal, Reputational, etc.). • Develop, deliver, and publish Final Compliance Review Report to the business and senior management to communicate the results of the tests and the issues identified. • Responsible for identifying risk associated with regulation and map controls to the respective regulatory requirement. • Provide analysis of compliance risk mitigation both within and across business lines. • Develop test scripts for operating effectiveness and transaction testing. • Assess control for operating effectiveness to identify inefficiencies, conduct root cause analysis and remediation plan.
