By helping Manatee County adults with limited literacy skills learn to read, write, understand, and speak English well, we work together to meet the demands of daily life, improve the potential for meaningful employment, and enhance the quality of life for our learners and their families. We serve as an advocate for the need to increase literacy throughout our community. During my time working for Manatee Literacy Council as Executive Director, we have tripled funding and staff, launched new collaborations with community partners, and created new programs. We have streamlined systems, updated technology, and become a visible presence in the area. I am extremely proud of our accomplishments since 2020!

Doubled existing business gross profits in the first year and sustained continued growth until the sale of the business.
