I am an aspiring Human Resources professional, currently enrolled at the University of Winnipeg, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education, in the Human Resource Management Diploma program with a corresponding Management Certificate. My focus is on securing a Human Resources Generalist position with the government in labour relations, compensation, and training/development. I joined Portage Place Shopping Centre in 2017 as a Customer Service Representative. Prior to Portage Place, I was a Day Program facilitator at Community Venture – Salvation Army for seven years before being promoted to House Manager of a group home. My tenure working in social services has taught me compassion for people with a deep understanding of what it means to support an individual and organization. In my previous employment, I showcased my excellent computer skills in managing clients, creating financial tracking sheets, and adapting to in-house software systems, such as payroll and budgets. I also bring my strong communication skills in leading staff and work/school teams. My can-do attitude will motivate any person or team to meet your administration’s objectives.
