Profile bio

About Michelle Trigger

I pursued a career in law with the goal of making a positive impact on peoples' lives by helping them navigate the legal process through effective courtroom advocacy. After experiencing several internships and jobs, ranging from the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office to private criminal defense firms, I found the best way to accomplish my mission was through the opening of my own practice. Thus, Trigger Law Office was born. Having the freedom to practice law the way I believe it should be practiced, with enthusiasm for my cases, integrity in my work, and respect for my clients, is both rewarding and effective.I practice primarily in Placer and Sacramento Counties, in the areas of Criminal Defense and Family Law. Criminal cases range anywhere from minor traffic infractions to major felonies. I handle DUI, domestic violence, assault, theft, firearm possession, drug possession and sales, identify theft, and gang-related cases, to name a few. Family Law matters lie primarily with divorce, separation, child custody and visitation, spousal support (alimony), adoption, guardianship, and premarital and postmarital agreements. I also provide clients with document review and mediation preparation. When not in the office or court, I am also very committed to being involved in the community and staying active. I am the Minister of Music and piano player for the Upper Lake United Methodist Church, a mock trial coach and judge for high school mock trial, and a fitness competition competitor.

Listed skills include Courts, Criminal Law, Trials, Public Speaking, and 23 others.
