Led the planning and construction of supermarkets, restaurants, food preparation facilities bakeries and a brewery. Included preparing CAD drawings to comply with food safety and other standards, produced the most economical designs while meeting client specifications and regulatory requirements, preparing construction cost estimates and providing technical expertise and guidance in the preparation of the construction and regulatory authority approval documents.Key Projects included:760 sqm food preparation facility with pre-cast concrete walls ($750k). Navigated the complex health department approval process to enable the client to obtain the necessary construction licence.170 sqm food production facility renovation ($170k). Conversion of a dairy into a natural fruit iced confectionery manufacturing facility within a tight budget and severe space restrictions to accommodate the necessary equipment and enable efficient production.1,000 sqm frozen bakery products manufacturing facility with concrete block walls ($600k). Rapidly developed an understanding of the complexities associated with producing a wide range of products to develop a workable plan and meet health regulatory requirements. 175 sqm existing steel building covered with insulated panels and 105 sqm of additional floor space for an olive oil filling station ($75k)210 sqm hotel kitchen catering for up to 400 guests. Coordinated the project in collaboration with the principle architect of the firm that had planned the building and the consultants. Required rapid problem resolution, on-site decision making and re-working the plans to accommodate the client’s decision to change the location from the first floor to the basement which impacted on ventilation, climate control and waste water management.150 sqm brewery renovation.

Managed all aspects of the creative and business elements associated with designing and planning private homes. Included providing alternative solutions to meeting client needs, developing the design, concept design, preparing CAD drawings to final construction documentation, coordinating contractors, builders and clients and managing project budgets.Key projects included:285 sqm two level house construction ($600k). As the client was living in the US during the planning and construction phases, planning was undertaken via email and conference talks and required meticulous coordination between the construction firm and client. The house incorporated unique stairs, a customised kitchen and walk-in wardrobes. The exterior walls were clad in Jerusalem stone and required details of window arc and stone shade.160 sqm single level house construction ($200k). Within a tight budget, met client expectations and incorporated furniture to complement the design.200 sqm single level private house construction ($350k) with a modern design incorporating numerous windows to the surrounding green areas. Included detailing the joinery and plaster wall niches for the construction documentations.200 sqm three level private house construction ($300k)
