At the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition-International, I integrated design thinking and systems thinking through a diverse portfolio of projects and programs. Through creative communications, my work enhanced the quality of interdisciplinary and intercultural communication. I built and led the organization's design and communications efforts across all digital and print media while gaining in-depth experience working on projects and with colleagues across Vietnam, Thailand, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Key activities and achievements include: • Attracted over $600,000 in grant funding for creative communications and design• Developed and implemented an organizational communications strategy with an emphasis on growing and strengthening the internal capacities of staff across five international offices• Standardized editorial and design processes and publishing procedures, ensuring consistent messaging, the use of common language, and encouraging shared learning across international projects and programs• Developed interactive workshops and hands-on games that leverage creative communications to enhance the quality of communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups• Authored publications on urban climate resilience and the critical role of creative communications and design• Produced documentary-style films from around the world on how people are responding to the impacts of climate change, leading the concept, storyboarding, site visits, as well as the audio and video editing • Designed and illustrated information graphics for conceptual and theoretical frameworks • Designed publications, reports, policy briefs, white papers, websites, and identity systems for both the organization, projects, and programs

• Designed and developed publications (annual reports, booklets, e-newsletters, manuals, brochures, and posters), while maintaining involvement in all stages of the project including research, concept development, pre-flighting, and press checks • Worked closely with copywriters and editors to develop compelling literature and design solutions for diverse audiences who presented a spectrum of design challenges (e.g. illiterate populations, non-english speaking communities, and individuals with visual impairments)
