About Michelle Flinton

Michelle Flinton is a Supervisor, Business Development Operations at WGL Energy. She possess expertise in leadership development, training, program development, event planning, social media and 45 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "It gives me great pleasure to write you concerning Michelle Flinton, a former Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) national staff member. In her position as Director of Education and Leadership Development, she focused on developing leadership opportunities for students and advisers in addition to providing programs for implementation on the local, state and national levels. As an FCCLA Adviser, I have had the opportunity to work with Ms. Flinton on many levels: as a chapter adviser to three national officers, as a member of the STAR Events Advisory Team, as a member of the FCCLA National Consultant Team, and as the chairperson of the Montana FCCLA Advisory Board. I have found Michelle to be professional in her dealings with students, advisers and presenters. I have witnessed first-hand her ability to organize meetings for large groups, coordinate staff, and prepare materials for presentation. Ms. Flinton worked for FCCLA for twelve years and helped develop many of the programs which make our organization the dynamic student organization it is today. Michelle worked with other staff members to plan and organize national and regional trainings for FCCLA. Our National Leadership Conference brings together 5,000-6,000 youth every summer. Planning such a large scale meeting requires many hours of planning because of the variety of events we offer for youth from 6th grade through high school seniors. The National Leadership Conference has an action packed schedule with competitive events, general sessions, training sessions for advisers and students, fun events, and a gala at the conclusion of the conference. Not many witness the countless hours of work that go on behind the scene to make events of this size appear effortless. Ms. Flinton also helped develop the Capitol Leadership Training for officers and members in Washington D.C. each fall, as well as three regional Cluster meetings held in three different locations in a two week period every November. These meetings provide valuable leadership opportunities for students and advisers. I believe Michelle has given to FCCLA and our students in many ways that have gone unrecognized by advisers on the local level. I have always been impressed by her professionalism and work ethic when I have had the opportunity to work on project planning with national staff members. I believe Michelle would be a valuable asset to any organization." and "Michelle is excellent at getting work done, while maintaining a positive attitude. It was always a pleasure to work with Michelle because we completed our tasks and enjoyed doing it. I believe her biggest strength is her ability to manage a variety of different personalities; therefore, I would highly recommend her for positions where she can oversee and work with people."

Listed skills include Leadership Development, Training, Program Development, Event Planning, and 46 others.
