I work in the digital journalism space with the intention to shape news content to better serve an evolving audience. I work closely with our digital, on-air and marketing teams to create engaging content for all platforms. My career in journalism started as a newscast writer and producer. I have loved seeing the evolution of journalism over the years and am grateful that I’m an active part of the process. I also have a focus in leadership and lead the DEI&B at CBS 8. I have completed TEGNA’s Leadership Development Program and Inclusive Journalism Leadership Cohort, which was created in partnership with the Poynter Institute. I have a strong interest in giving back and mentorship and worked with American Corporate Partners to help prepare veterans for new careers as civilians. I also work as a volunteer with The San Diego LGBT Community Center.
