Marketing & Public Relations: Work with all employees and volunteers to establish and maintain consistent communication practices. Planned and created marketing campaigns that reached across all media; direct mail, print, radio, television, web, social media, and e-communications. Maintain and update the website regularly – working with other staff to ensure it is effective for all aspects of United Way and that we are compliant with all United Way Worldwide standards and practices. Fund Development: assisting in giving presentations to area businesses, prospecting new businesses relationships, and working to help secure future funding. Grants: Coordinating all aspects of the grant funding process, including but not limited to designing an online grant application, training non-profits on how to best complete the application, training community volunteers in reviewing the grants and the scoring rubric. Volunteer: Established the Alternative Spring Break program in partnership with Northwestern Michigan College. Coordinated the Annual Days of Action and Day of Caring volunteer events, worked with volunteers placing them in positions where they felt they were making the most impact. Coordinate all community outreach in the form of special events, parades, volunteer fairs, business expos, and the like.
