Vice President, Portfolio DirectorValtech Apr 2022 - Dec 2023Worldwide, FrValtech acquired TBG (The Berndt Group) in April 2022. I successfully managed the integration of TBG’s 100 employees and 35 major accounts into Valtech post-acquisition and joined the North American senior management team for this 6,000+ person global digital agency focused on innovation and digital transformation in multiple industries. The integration, and my role as Portfolio Director, involved extensive collaboration with global Valtech leadership and the legal, client services, business development/growth, accounting/finance, people and culture/HR, resourcing, and talent acquisition and delivery management teams. In parallel to the integration, I managed a subset of the acquired business representing a $10M+ yearly book of business with 35 team members and 15 clients working across multiple industries. Clients included The Cordish Companies, Chemours, Penn Medicine, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Children's National Health System, among others. -
Chief Operating OfficerThe Berndt Group Jun 2005 - Apr 2022After four years in the company, promoted to a top position as COO (as part of a two-person senior management team) overseeing the growth of the company from 10 to 100 people with teams across the continental U.S. and Bulgaria. TBG (The Berndt Group) ultimately achieved revenue of $16.5M with 15% EBITDA. Clients included 20 major U.S. healthcare organizations (Johns Hopkins Medicine, Penn Medicine, UCLA Health, among others), The Cordish Companies, Mannington Floors, Chemours, Citadel Bank, Mathematica, and many others. In 2022, Valtech acquired TBG at the height of the market to become the healthcare-focused business unit within this leading international digital transformation agency. As Chief Operating Officer of TBG, my 17-year focus was on chief of staff activities, hiring, people enablement, change management, implementing processes and systems, all contracts (clients/projects, partner, employee, subcontractors), and growth-related activities. I directly managed a team of 10: six practice area directors, an accounting team, Manager of New Business/Marketing and Office Manager. An adept problem-solver, skilled at troubleshooting and providing solutions, I actively supported project/accounts teams and clients as needed. Role involved heavy internal and external (existing and potential clients, partners, etc.) interactions. With CEO John Berndt, I built an unusually stable, creative, and detail-oriented culture that won significant awards for its work every year and operated from 2005–2022 without a single layoff or legal issue. TBG enjoyed market-leading employee and account retention during this period, earning Best Workplace recognition (voted by employees).
