At nine years old, I dreamed of going on a Caribbean cruise with my family. Believing that “good things come to those who work for them,” I pitched my parents the idea, complete with a PowerPoint presentation and Hawaiian shirt… We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise the next summer, and now I'm working for Virgin Voyages as the Senior Manager of Global Public Relations.My passion for travel PR is stronger than ever. For the past nine years, I've steered global hospitality brands, boutique hotels and international destinations to develop impactful, avant-garde campaigns.While my bread & butter is media relations, I love identifying emerging travel trends, conceptualizing newsworthy initiatives, mentoring junior team members, providing PR and marketing strategy recommendations, overseeing large-scale events and securing feature print and digital coverage in outlets that move the needle. Keeping dozens of plates spinning at any given time makes my job dynamic and interesting.As a snapshot of the past few years, I have:- Publicized Virgin Voyages' global debut including five, high-profile launches across New York, Miami, London, Sydney, Melbourne and in the Caribbean- Developed Virgin Voyages' robust media sailing program, securing & hosting 70+ writers a year- Collaborated with ABC's The Bachelorette, Good Morning America, SharkTank, BuzzFeed, CNBC, Delish and Condé Nast Traveler for various broadcast opportunities- Coordinated an extensive photo shoot on the island of Curaçao for a 24-page feature in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, the most widely read magazine issue in the world- Planned 15+ large-scale, in-person consumer activations, reaching more than 40,000 travelers- Secured feature travel coverage and spokesperson interviews in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Inc., Fortune, Condé Nast Traveler, USA Today, Food & Wine, Men’s Journal, Travel + Leisure and more- Publicized seven new resort openings- Maintained a blog for 30 Florida-based Marriott properties and copyedited work for 25 bloggersWhen I'm not on a press trip, you can likely find me at Orangetheory, hanging with my dog nephew (Jeter), listening to live music or soaking up the sun like the South Florida girl I am.I love connecting with people and continuously seek networking opportunities, so say hello!
