As a senior in college, one employer networking breakfast changed my life. I wasn’t sure what field I wanted to work in, but I knew it would be some aspect of marketing or finance. There were so many prospective companies, but one in particular stood out and they were recruiting for a job that literally nobody wants…cold caller!It was the second time I heard this company pitch the job. The first time, I was skeptical but the this time, my gut told me to pursue it. So, I took a leap of faith and approached the recruiter. I eventually got the job. It was my first time stepping WAY out of my comfort zone. I was absolutely terrified to cold call CFOs and CIOSs of Fortune 1000 companies. I was only 21 years old, so what on earth would we have in common? It took me about 6 months to pick up the phone without being nervous. I knew nothing about leasing, however, my fear was slowly offset by my passion for helping people and businesses. The friendships that I developed with clients made it even more fulfilling. By the time I graduated, I was hooked!Working alongside hospitals, colleges and schools, made me realize that by facilitating technology purchases, I was making a difference in the lives of their employees, patients, teachers & students. Fast forward to today, over 24 years later. My goal is to help EdTech leaders establish sustainability, budget predictability and lifecycle management for their technology. Putting a device in the hands of every student and teacher to impact learning is fulfilling. Helping schools bring 21st century classrooms to life is so amazing to watch. Funding their cybersecurity needs to protect their users, feels great. I’ve never thought and still don’t think it’s my job to sell. Instead, it’s to create successful and positive outcomes for my customers. I’m here to delivery certainty and sustainability around technology budgets and refresh cycles. My ultimate goal is to save each customer life’s most valuable asset - TIME and to alleviate STRESS. I’m doing what I love, so it's not a job, it's a calling.and, it all started by taking a step outside of my comfort zone....
