I am thrilled to join the Partnerships & Investment Team at the City of Kelowna! As the Grants & Special Projects Manager I am responsible for grants research, funding relationships, grant management and special projects for the City of Kelowna.

As an Acting Manager in Policy and Planning I led a range of complex plans and policies and building internal and external partnerships. I was involved in leading or co-leading a number of plans including the Healthy City Strategy, Healthy Housing Strategy, Housing Needs Assessment, and the Community Climate Action Plan, to name a few. I was also involved in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as well as building external partnerships with Interior Health, UBC and FortisBC. I was the City of Kelowna representative on the Okanagan Rail Trail Committee and also a planner in the Emergency Operations Centre.

My responsibilities included project management, strategic visioning, research, data analysis, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, working with senior government, presenting to Council, and plan development and implementation.

I developed, managed, and implemented environmental programs, policies, and projects including overseeing summer students, consultants, grant applications, and project management.Some of the highlights included:- Project Manager for the development and implementation of the Pesticide Bylaw- Implemented watershed restoration projects- Coordinated the Summer Watershed Crew including hiring staff and coordinated projects.
