I focus my practice on energy and environmental law, with a particular emphasis on renewable generation and emerging technologies. I represent renewable developers in all aspects of project development and siting, including navigating the regulatory process under Article 10 of the New York Public Service Law and the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), counsel clients through the interconnection process with local distribution utilities and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), and assist in the negotiation of power purchase agreements. As a member of the firm's Energy Industry Team, my regulatory practice before the New York State Public Service Commission also includes representing energy service companies and distributed energy resources in various compliance matters (including obtaining authorization to operate in New York), community choice aggregation providers in implementing a CCA program, gas and electric corporations seeking to transfer or lease regulated assets, utilities in rate case proceedings, and corporate entities seeking approval to transfer regulated assets.In the environmental arena, I represent corporate and individual clients on a wide range of matters involving permitting, regulatory compliance, civil and administrative enforcement, and dispute resolution. My environmental permitting and regulatory compliance experience spans issues involving air emissions, wastewater and stormwater discharges, wetlands, zoning and land use matters, and the Mined Land Reclamation Law.This may be considered Attorney Advertising according to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
