Leading a team of four specialized professionals, I managed every aspect of business and finance including accounting, finance, HR, and facilities management for this non-profit media company with growth in annual operational revenue from $5M to $7M in six years. I worked hand-in-hand with the CEO on developing and executing strategy and short and long-term planning. I prepared and published all internal and external financial reports including interim and independently audited annual financial statements, the annual budget plan, federal and state compliance and financial reporting, data modeling, and revenue, cash, and expense forecasting. My responsibilities also included the management of payroll, HR and benefits administration for a growing staff of 50+ in two locations (Las Vegas and Reno) and preparing all month-end and year-end journal entries to ensure compliance with GAAP.

I served as the liaison between the market and the corporate office for all business activities at the local ABC affiliate television station: Accounts Receivable including billing, cash application, collections and dispute resolution for annual revenue of $26M; Accounts Payable including processing all vendor invoices and expense reports with appropriate account coding, and distribution of invoices and backup documentation to corporate office for payment; assisting corporate HR team in recruiting and onboarding as well as retention initiatives at the local level; working with the corporate office on preparing and distributing pacing and other financial reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis; and successfully reducing annual bad debt expense from $1M in 2005 to $0 in 2010.
