Lead a project making data searchable using fuzzy string-matching capabilities in a Postgres database. Consisted in performing exploratory data analysis on multiple, duplicate, backup databases to determine the contents. Extracted the tables from MS Access Databases into Postgres, performed SQL queries on all the data for further statistics and visualizations. Created an analytic to infer missing data, and further identify relationships not visible in the raw data. Utilized a machine translation API on the raw data to convert to English, because it was messy, further cleaned up the data keeping the proper translations. Once the data was discoverable can cleaned in the Postgres, built an R Shiny application that provided a GUI for the customer to search by filters. Additionally, this leveraged the fuzzy string-matching capabilities and provided a score for each row of results. The results were displayed sorted by top score, visualized in a network graph using visNetwork, and a data table provided by DT. Provided several R Markdown reports explaining the raw data, translations process, the analytic used for inferring relationships, and providing the fuzzing string matching capabilities with a score. Lead several training and collaboration sessions within the office to help teach lessons learned, best practices, and have conversations across teams. Created hundreds of Confluence pages, and training PowerPoints to share knowledge with new employees and co-workers that wanted to get smart on something the office already knew about. Provided deskside training when needed.Created Jupyter notebooks to automate analytics, prototype workflows. Utilized libraries include folium, pandas, requests, json, sklearn for exploratory data analysis, and visualization.
