I am passionate about medicine, health, and improving the quality of life that people lead. My passions originally led me to a career in pharmacy. I feel as though these passions, however, are not limited to pharmacy, therefore I am open to exploring roles and interests outside my formal training. Throughout my career, I have utilized interpretation of data to uncover performance gaps and inefficiencies to optimize processes for both the business and the client. I take pride in communicating, problem solving, and providing evidence-based recommendations to my managers and teammates alike in order to produce successful outcomes. I am focused on continuous improvement, detail oriented, and I am able to quickly step into new roles. As a pharmacist, I have developed several different management skills. These include but are not limited to managing work flows, team roles and responsibilities, as well as managing inventory and providing mentorship. I am an adept multitasker, who can navigate several projects at the same time. Through effective communication with the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and health care facilities, I have helped to reach out on behalf of clients for therapy clarification, as well as help to find avenues of profit for the company.When it comes to serving patients in healthcare, I believe in developing personal connections with patients in an insightful manner in order to help them make the most informed decisions regarding their care. The most optimal solution for an individual may not be the most sustainable, and I believe in helping clients identify approaches that are most beneficial for them, while helping them to understand the methods along the way. I am always striving to add to and update my skills to better serve clients to provide more personalized care. When I am not at work, I spend my time going on walks with family and friends, improving my lifting technique in the sport of competitive powerlifting, scrapbooking, and trying to get better at playing guitar. When I first began lifting in the early 2000s, there were very few women in the weight room, and I often found myself to be the only Asian woman. My involvement in the sport has especially nurtured my leadership skills. I feel more empowered to encourage others to explore new and non-traditional interests as a result of my own experiences.
