Director Of Business Strategy
CurrentAs the Director of Business Strategy at FX, a Walt Disney Company, I take lead on strategic projects that involve current and future television shows for our linear and direct-to-consumer (streaming) platforms; as well as for projects that analyze and evolve our entire slate of 20+ shows over a rolling five-year period. With my team of direct reports, I work cross-functionally to manage our annual and long-range planning processes, collaborating with the production finance, marketing, and legal departments. I enable $2B in future TV series investments by leading the interdepartmental greenlight process, assessing new linear and streaming shows with finance and creative to determine the timing and company-wide value of potential projects.I built and continue to maintain a multi-faceted long-range visual scenario-building model for the chairman and president of FX, and the CFO of Disney Television. The model allows users to visualize and quantify scheduling changes and their financial impact on a five-year outlook, amongst other features, which helps our executive suite create informed content investment and scheduling choices. After winning an award twice for changing the future of TWDC for this model, I now work in conjunction with a bi-coastal teams of engineers, product managers, and finance leadership to build a web-based version that will integrate into an in-house ERP and content planning ecosphere.I interpret the financial implications of legal agreements as part of talent and overall deals with our Business Affairs team. I established and now oversee the finance team’s process for managing the quarterly SOX compliance for our participations process in conjunction with our accounting, legal, and business affairs departments. I support FX’s DE&I initiatives by providing technical analysis and building presentations on our company’s progress for ongoing town halls, and am a mentor and mentee in Disney’s mentorship program.
