One of two responsible for VMware administration and management. Successfully tackled a number of business critical projects such as migrating our internet provider with minimal downtime, implementing a company wide ticketing system, emergency alert system, and online bill payment. All projects came in on time and under budget. Responsible for implementing mobile device management system and the security policies around it. Assist in supporting AS400 system and Lotus Domino/Notes administration.

Continuation of duties as an IT Specialist 2 with added responsibilities. Assigned as the primary lead for Mac support for the entire campus. Wrote technical documentation for training team on processes for Mac. Helped to plan, test and troubleshoot role out of Windows 7 to staff and student labs on campus. Setup, managed and troubleshoot network print queues on Windows Server 2008.

In this role, my primary duties were to support students, staff and faculty. This included troubleshooting hardware and software related problems. Assisted with troubleshooting login problems. Responsible for the creation of images and software to be deployed across the campus. Wrote scripts through Altiris to deploy software remotely and silently install to staff and lab computers, and to help in the maintenance of the computers. Created technical documentation for training of peers and end-users. Assisted in answering the help desk line and troubleshoot end-user questions over the phone, as well as using remote connection to assist. Managed interns for helping with moves, lab setups, surplus inventory, and other duties as needed.

For the first-half of my internship I was shadowing the lead network engineer. Helped with the installation and termination of Category 5e cabling. Installation and configuration of Cisco wireless access points. Assisted with network troubleshooting and upgrading of switches.

Assisted with the instruction of Computer Information System classes. Actively supported the Copper Cabling and Fiber-Optic Cabling classes. Performed any needed maintenance on the classroom routers and switches. Helped student in troubleshooting circuits that were not working properly. Helped student in learning Fluke DSP-4000 test equipment for copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructures.
