Develops, implements and manages administration of the Hospital system's benefit and leave programs while supervising the Benefits team. Programs include health, prescription, dental, life, disability, worksite/voluntary programs, retirement plans, COBRA, ACA and leave under FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and general leave policies.• Manages the health system’s leave administration process in conjunction with the LOA vendor• Serves as team lead for benefit inquiries, issues and coordinating benefit eligibility with FMLA, ADA and general leave policies• Develops and implements benefit communications, presentations and education sessions regarding policy, design, eligibility and enrollment including annual Open Enrollment activities• Manages and audits benefit enrollment systems and vendor file feeds• Manages relationships between the Hospital system and third-party benefit administrators, actuaries, brokers, and auditors• Evaluates new benefit programs and recommends changes and improvements• Keeps abreast of current state and federal regulations as they pertain to the Hospital system's benefits and policies

A seminar/webinar presenter on benefit plan compliance, ACA reporting, DOL ERISA audit preparation and financial strategies counseling employers toward long-term outcome-based goals through financial analysis, health analytics, competitive industry benchmarking and vendor evaluation.Benefit management focus includes:• The design, financing, delivery, communication and ongoing management of health and welfare benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, vision and tax-sheltered accounts, as well as employer perk programs and sustainable results-oriented wellness initiatives• Risk management and the development of long-term fully-insured/self-insured funding solutions• Detailed financial analysis including health analytic review and predictive claim/cost projections, plan design modeling and financing strategy/contribution formation• Experienced federal and state compliance evaluation including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), 1094/1095 auditing and IRS penalty response, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA benefit plan audits
