It aims to create a multi-stakeholder ecosystem of intercooperation, innovation, entrepreneurship and internationalisation that leverages the marine plastic value chain and emerging business opportunities to establish a replicable circular economy model in the Atlantic region. South East BIC is one of the 12 partners across France, Spain and Portugal and Ireland, including Atlantic Technological University (ATU) and University Limerick (UL).2020/22 - SuNSE, the Support Network for Social Entrepreneurs (www.sunse.eu), was an Interreg North-West Europe initiative. The project created a global network that assisted social entrepreneurs with aims of addressing social issues, climate change, and assisting those from low-socioeconomic backgrounds to reskill or upgrade their skills to achieve major life changes. The one-on-one mentorship, webinars, workshops, and evening academy programmes were consistently well-attended. Overall, the project supported 300 people across the UK, IE, NL, LUX, FR to access business support, resulting in the development of 200 new enterprises, of which 70 brought new products and services to the market.
