As the Director of Instruction at Messmer Catholic Schools - one high school and two elementary/middle grade schools. My responsibilities include overseeing curriculum and instruction in each school, coaching school leaders, and collaborating our board of directors and education committee. Prior to my time at Messmer, I served as Principal of Seton Catholic Schools for 11 years. Both Messmer and Seton serve diverse communities, including many economically disadvantaged students. As a visionary leader, I apply my talents as a macro-thinker to precisely articulate a district’s vision, goals, and values. Experience has taught me that vision is one of the most important qualities a leader can possess, for it provides direction and momentum -- not only for the leader but for every team member. Equipped with a clear and compelling vision, coupled with a profound drive for student success, I generate inspiration and motivation that permeates throughout the district, schools, and the community at large. This, in turn, fuels the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, leading to improved outcomes and stronger relationships within the school community and beyond.My core competencies include urban education, staff development, instructional supervision, and curriculum development. I have a strong belief that all children can learn and excel in a joyful, engaging learning environment. I also foster meaningful relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
