As part of the Plan Ceibal teaching English programme, I prepared and presented classes to highschool students via video conferencing to state schools around Uruguay. All class material waspresented remotely using either powerpoint or ActiveInspire presentations.All lesson plan outlines and all forms of communication were via the Crea 2 platform powered bySchoology. The lessons were co-taught with the classroom teachers and this required weeklycoordination and planning. In my second year, I was made the centre coordinator and wasresponsible for training new remote teachers and giving them support when needed.

Responsible for all aspects of this project.We need help to develop the project from the ground up by helping with building, planting and clearing the land. In addition to this we need help with the daily chores, collecting firewood, watering the vegetable garden, making "eco-bricks", collecting the recycled materials from town and help preparing meals.

In charge of course preparation and course delivery, tasks include (amongst others):Delivering daily workshops based on methodology for teaching English as a foreign language. Based on the Communicative Approach, these workshops include teaching reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, lexis, phonology and grammar, as well as classroom topics such as testing, business English, teaching young learners, classroom management and course planning.• Planning and preparing the initial teaching points for trainees.• Assisting with planning and preparation of lessons.• Observing daily practice teaching.• Providing feedback to trainees based on their performance.• Recruiting volunteers for practice teaching.• Dealing with group dynamics and culture shock.• Updating and improving class material, by researching for latest material, methodology and classroom ideas.

I took a TEFL certificate course in Buenos Aires in May 2009 and have been teaching English ever since. Infact I loved teaching so much that my husband and I bought a TEFL school in 2010 and we have been training English teachers since then.I really enjoy teaching and this comes across in my classes. With all my experience in teaching all aspects of English I can provide so much more in the classroom. This, combined with my life experience and educational degree will ensure that my lessons will be above average. As the head teacher and co- founder of English in Uruguay I will ensure that the classes and the entire English experience is worthwhile and fun.
