As a start-up, I established and ran the Marketing and Public Relations Department. Effectively built and executed the marketing strategy. Responsible for designing and creating all marketing collateral, media buying, social media and website management, content creation and the planning and execution of all press, sponsorship and charity events.

Effectively managed the design, fabrication, shipment and installation of brand signage for several national brandconversions. Instrumental in developing strategy, scope, schedule and budget baselines for each program. Lead internal and external teams in striving to reach all milestones on schedule and under budget.

Served as communications liaison between the Marketing Advisory Board and the Marketing Department at Virginia Tech. Organized and managed educational conventions for the Marketing Advisory Board.

Responsible for the organization & management of events, fundraisers & volunteer recruitment for the Women for Rigell Program and assisted with Ground Game operations for the campaigns of Scott Rigell, George Allen & Mitt Romney.

Responsible for company promotions, setting up and working trade shows, organizing corporate events & charities, selection of corporate marketing and promotional materials and ads; Administrative Assistant Summers 2006-2008.

Responsible for tracking samples (Fashion GPS), coordinating pick-up & returns, maintaining showroom, scanning & editing magazine credits, updating social media networks, monitoring blogs, sample gifting, running merchandise to publications & stylists, worked both front & back of house operations at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, February 2011, and worked Press Preview Days, March 2011.

Freelance marketing projects using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator software for marketing brochures, website maintenance, and Builder’s Association promotional items.

Served as Public relations representative while Director on maternity-leave. Responsibilities included handling advertising and PR for events, creating brochures and ads using QuarkXPress software, and working art shows.
