Michelle Ribeiro has dedicated the past years to research the intersection of International Security and Technology, with a focus on cybersecurity. She has pursued her Master degree in International Studies and Diplomacy at SOAS, University of London, funded by the British FCO, through a Chevening Scholarship. Her research examined the challenges presented by the blurring effects of conflicts in the cyberspace.Following her graduation, the Foreign Policy Magazine and the Harvard Belfer Center Cyber Security Project selected Michelle as one of the 20 next leaders in cybersecurity and invited her to take part in the 2017 Future Diplomats Peace Game in Abu Dhabi.An IT Executive, she acted as a Tech Policy Advisor for governmental initiatives and have contributed to publications and conferences worldwide. Michelle has been involved in different open source organisations such as the Debian Project, the Linux Foundation and the LinuxChix.
