Michelle Richmond is the New York Times bestselling author of six novels and two story collections, including most recently THE WONDER TEST from Grove Atlantic. Her Sunday Times bestseller THE MARRIAGE PACT has been published in 31 languages.A native of Mobile, Alabama, Michelle has made her home in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1999, with the exception of three years in Paris. She has taught creative writing in the MFA programs in writing at the University of San Francisco and California College of the Arts, and has served as Distinguished Visiting Writer at Bowling Green State University and St. Mary's College of Moraga. She has also held the Catherine Julie Cunningham Chair at Notre Dame de Namur University and has taught novel writing for Stanford Continuing Studies. Her stories and essays have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Oxford American, Playboy, Boulevard, Glimmer Train, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Believer, The Kenyon Review, Best American Fantasy, and other publications. She is the recipient of the Truman Capote Award for Alabama's Distinguished Writer of the Short Story, the Hall-Waters Prize for contributions to Southern Literature, and the Grace Paley Prize for Fiction.
