I am passionate about supporting families so they feel confident in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting their newborn. I have seen a need in London for more continuity of care and additional assistance during the postpartum period. I feel there is immense value in developing a strong trusting relationship with at least one professional that is going to be at one's labour and birth. Also, thanks to easy access to news, we are seeing more and more instances of postpartum/perinatal illness, which means we must be doing more to support new families. So, I decided to develop a program to provide as much care to as possible as a doula to the families in my area.I am so honoured to be returning to the work of service. It is such a huge part of me. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Society, and was in charge of our memberships throughout the province, until my appointment to Vice President in March 2015.
