As the Business Development Manager at MMC, my main focus is identifying business opportunities and building long-term relationships with existing and new customers. From planning and hosting educational seminars, to attending various industry events, to keeping up with the company communications, I am passionate about showcasing the knowledge and experience that the people of MMC and the in-house capabilities that MMC has to offer!

I was a product Packaging Project Lead in Best Buy’s Exclusive Brands Division. This role encompassed a mix of skills from negotiations, design and innovation, as well as communication and attention to quick schedules. I engaged with the different merchants to understand and establish their pricing/branding goals and then worked with a variety of product and packaging vendors to maximize the budget and performance of the packaging while managing the overall process from design to production in order to ensure we hit the desired in-store dates.

- Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team of internal and external business partners to execute workflow/project changes ensuring project objectives were obtained.- Project management: Set and enforced project timelines and objectives in order to ensure successful execution of design development and implementation while achieving goal timing.- Managed Brand Integrity: Partnered with Marketing Creative and Merchants to produce packaging that was consistent with overall business and brand objectives for 7 different Softlines brands.- Drove process changes: Lead a committee of project managers that improved process efficiency, which improved project timeline duration from 8 weeks to 6 weeks.

- Garment Production Management: Successfully executed the production of a $3.5 million women’s shirt program by managing key production due dates – including critical pre-production approvals before initiating bulk production resulting in on-time delivery of product to stores.- Problem solving/trouble shooting: Managed multiple purchase orders for a $724.2 million business and tracked them from factory export through different transportation checkpoints to assure product delivery for the desired instore date.- Critical thinking: Proactively worked to identify alternative delays and put forth contingencies by taking necessary partners and utilized research tools and resources. - Mentoring: Appointed to the new hire mentor program.

- Maximized Partnerships: Partnered with technical production personnel and product vendors during the development, costing, and production stages of the product lifecycle to manage critical dates on the Product Design & Development calendar for over 70 programs per quarter for the 7 women’s Ready-to-Wear brands.- Leadership: Established a committee to explore and implement best methods for the Product Coordinator role in order to promote consistency among the different product departments.- Awarded Performance: Recognized with the Target Speed is Life award by successfully executing a large sample request of over 100 clothing samples to be developed and produced for a high-profile fashion show.

- New business development: Made over 100 cold calls weekly to build rapport and develop relationships. Identified and targeted key corporate individuals to contact and book appointments. Aggressive and persistent attitude led to success at building relationships, creating an account base of over 300 businesses.- Exceeded sales goals: Successfully managed a profitable business while exceeding first year sales goals by 70%, selling $364K and maintained the 2nd highest gross profit out of a sales force of 18 people. - Project management: Worked with multiple contacts per project to manage and coordinate key objectives from initial design stages to the installation of the product.- Product Knowledge/Presentation: Lead clients on tours of the product showroom while pointing out the features and benefits of each line as they would best apply to their work environment based on their desired workplace objectives.
