    Managing Director And Founder
    Techoutsiders Jun 2016 - Present
    Perth, Wa, Au
Tech Outsiders is a social enterprise based in WA that is raising awareness of all the cool people we have working in Tech who are outside the industry stereotype of the “Stale, Pale Male” [Term coined by Dr Jason Fox].The most common response we hear to the complaint that “All the Speakers at the Conference are men!” or “All the Award Nominees are male.” is that there were “No known female candidates”.It is our mission to solve that problem by highlighting all of the marvellous talent the WA Tech Industry has outside of the default. We would love you to be part of the list of profiles we are building, just visit our website for a link. There is no minimum qualification or experience level – in fact new and unknown is just as appealing to us, as our goal is to highlight talent at every level.

  • Programmed Group
    Service & Support Manager
    Programmed Group Jun 2010 - Feb 2013
    Docklands, Victoria, Au
Service & Support Manager at Programmed Group a company that directly employs more than 11,000 skilled and semi-skilled staff and tradespeople across a broad range of government and private sector industries in the resources, infrastructure, education, manufacturing & logistics, commercial/retail and tourism and recreation markets. Our ability to recruit and deploy staff is supported by an active database of some 60,000 personnel. We provide services to over 7,500 customers with which we have developed long term relationships. We deliver these services through our extensive network of over 100 branch and office locations throughout Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Singapore.Initially recruited to set-up and run a new Service Desk of 4-5 people I have completed that and gone on to directly manage the 14 people that make up the ICT Service & Support Teams. During the first year I have recruited 6 people to the team, established ITIL aligned processes and procedures and led our department through its annual audit by Deloitte with no issues. We now have a team that comprises 4 Service Desk Agents plus a Manager, 5 Regional On Site Support Engineers, 3 Technical Infrastructure Architects and one Service and Support Trainee. We operate in an Each-One-Teach-One team environment where there are KPIs that encourage and reward people for learning new things and coaching their collegues in how to do them properly. Those that hold their knowledge close to their chest and refuse to share or teach are not rewarded for their expertise. If they cannot share what they know, then there is little value in what they bring to the team.We have formalised processes in place for Incident, Problem, Change and Escalation Management, as well as for handling User Requests.
