I wrote the "On the Move" column in the Houston Chronicle. It was published weekly in the Real Estate Section (in the newspaper and online), and focused on real estate and relocation. It featured a variety of local, state, and national real estate and relocation industry leaders.During my time as a freelance columnist for the Houston Chronicle, I wrote over 500 published articles. As a result of the economic challenges related to COVID-19, my column was discontinued by the Houston Chronicle in August 2020.

My primary focus was to develop and lead creative strategies to position AMBER Lodging for long-term, sustainable growth as a leading provider of corporate housing solutions throughout the U.S. and globally. As such, I was responsible for building solid client and strategic partner relationships, as well as developing and implementing cohesive marketing plans to increase the awareness of AMBER as a trusted leader in the marketplace.

I was responsible for leading communications and marketing strategies, which included social media, web marketing, brand recognition and consumer initiatives, while also focusing on business and educational opportunities within the relocation industry and real estate communities worldwide. I represented the company at Worldwide ERC Conferences, both as an attendee and as a presenter.Highlights and Successes Included: > Provided creative direction for a completely redesigned company website (from conception through execution), which was successfully launched under my management. > Planned and developed website content. > Created and executed social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, which were instrumental in increasing brand exposure and awareness, while engaging the local real estate community and the general public.

My primary responsibility was to provide the strategic leadership and direction for John Daugherty Realtors Global Relocation Services Division. When I first took over the reins in December 2008, my first order of business was to analyze the Department, tear it down to the studs, rebuild it, and position John Daugherty, Realtors Global Relocation Services as a major force in real estate/relocation services for Houston, Texas. To that end, I developed the JDR Relocation Training and Certification Program, leveraged my relationships within real estate and the relocation industry, formed strong strategic partnerships, streamlined processes, implemented new policies and procedures, created a dynamic team of relocation agents, and successfully continued to increase the company's relocation and referral business year-over-year.I was also the creator, writer and visionary behind the Houston Relocation Blog in 2009. I enjoyed a large readership that climbed to thousands of monthly visitors through the nearly 4 years that I was with the company. This led to my growing recognition as a professional writer, and positioned me as a successful personal brand. I utilized various social media platforms to promote my writing, which caused a lot of people and companies to take notice, including the Houston Chronicle.I also gained quite a bit of notoriety for my successful business development and networking skills, which were done by leveraging my social media presence.

Provided social media marketing consultation services to help promote the activities of the organization and boost its social media efforts through Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The primary focus was to promote ERC's National Relocation Conference and Global Workforce Symposium Conference through the use of social media before, during and after the conferences.I continue to be available to Worldwide ERC on an ongoing basis to help with social media marketing and other projects as needed.

I was responsible for developing, executing and maintaining internal and external marketing communications, advertising, business development initiatives and public relations strategies for this global commercial real estate advisory and business solutions company.

I was responsible for marketing strategies and new business development for this global relocation services company. Under my direction, the company's Real Estate Division was created and managed.

My key responsibilities centered around the operation and management of the Relocation Department. I managed all aspects of the relocation process between the agents and corporate clients and Relocation Management Companies. I was also responsible for creating and implementing strategies for the steady procurement of new accounts through various marketing and business development initiatives.I was also responsible for all of the marketing, advertising and public relations activities for the company. This included the regular writing and submission of news articles and announcements in various publications, including the Houston Chronicle and the Jewish Herald Voice.I also wrote bios for the agents and staff, and was responsible for web site development and content management.In addition, I led the implementation of annual strategic planning and team building sessions as a key necessity for the growth of the company.
