• Draft client correspondence, fee agreements and legal memorandums • Maintain both paper and electronic filing systems • Analyze, review and draft briefs for real estate properties • Collect, review and analyze client data to procure tax reduction • Maintain tax records and keep up-to-date on all filing deadlines • Manage intake of new clients, maintain client case files and database and respond promptly to information and action requests from clients and government officials • Review, organize, analyze and summarize due diligence documents • Assist with the administration of property tax appeals, including the timely preparation and filing of appropriate complaints and supporting evidence at three administrative levels as well as in the Circuit Courts • Communicate with county representatives concerning hearings, scheduling issues, pending settlements and refunds • Maintain departmental docketing

• Perform research on various tax projects such as Voluntary Disclosure Agreements• Ensure compliance by handling due diligence mailings and annual reporting requirements for client base• Assist with analyzing data records for payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable• Research State and industry specific unclaimed property tax laws applicable to clients • Perform marketing research to cultivated business development and growth• Assist with Audit Defense protocols and procedures • Prepare client billing invoices • Prepare client presentations and reports

• Assist attorneys in preparing complaints and petitions for real estate tax appeals at the Assessor’s Office, Board of Review and Property Tax Appeal Board in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, Will and numerous other counties throughout Illinois• Support attorneys on real estate exemptions for nonprofit organizations including universities, hospitals and religious establishments• Complete applications for Certificates of Error in order to obtain tax refunds• Examine plat of surveys, building sketches and MAI appraisals• Prepare client contracts including retainer agreements and affidavits• Analyze various client data including income approach, sale and comparable property analyses• Draft detailed written and oral correspondence for attorneys and clients• Prepare tax projections and evaluate accuracy of clients’ tax assessments
