Project manage a team of SMEs and assist them in developing online master courses in Canvas (LMS) that meet QM certification standards. Lead the train the train-the-trainer courses. Provide recommendations regarding all aspects of the course design and development process, as well as the selection of appropriate technology to facilitate distance learning and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 ). Work closely with the Center for Institutional and Organizational Learning (CIOL) to provide faculty training, as well as teaching and learning resources. Work as a liaison with other department services to assist in the design, maintenance, and updating of online courses. Engage with professional organizations and present at conferences in the learning design industry.

Implement the QM course review process, provide guidance to the review team throughout the review, and ensure effective recommendations are provided. Represent QM’s principles and policies in the review and serve as QM’s primary point of contact during the active course review.

Work collaboratively with a group of reviewers on a committee that evaluates online and blended courses that are in the process of meeting Quality Matters (QM) certification. Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to faculty on how to enhance their course design to improve the learner experience and increase student success in their courses.

Worked with the College of Business to develop QM-certified courses in Canvas (LMS). Obtained Quality Matters Certification for 15+ of my courses during my tenure there. Conducted scheduled course audits to ensure distance learning courses meet ADA compliance (WCAG 2.1) and departmental quality standards. Trained faculty on using and incorporating digital tools to enhance students' learning experience. Designed training materials and content to assist faculty in assessing the effectiveness of a given instructional tool or strategy when applied to a particular learning goal. Implemented design methods to transform content into instructionally sound, interactive learning modules that aid instructors in assessing the needs of distance learners. Managed work flow processes related to instructional design. Presented at instructional design conferences and events.

Taught and developed fully online graduate courses in human resources and higher education administration, such as adult learning theory and current trends in higher education, using Canvas (LMS). Designed and redesigned courses for the Adrian Dominican School of Education (ADSOE) to meet Quality Matters (QM) rubric standards.

Taught English and humanities courses F2F and fully online to adult learners at the School of Professional and Career Education (PACE) using Moodle and Canvas (LMS).

Managed part-time tutors. Ran all curricular aspects of the Learning Center, specifically supplemental instruction and EAP programs. Designed language proficiency program that included courses in Grammar and Syntax (ESL section), Accent Reduction, and Conversations in American English. Developed and managed the Comprehensive Partnership for Academic Success (COMPASS) program, an intrusive advising program for “at-risk” students. Administered university-wide placement testing for math, language arts, computer science, and reading/writing for New Student Orientation. Taught remedial English courses and humanities.

Taught and developed fully online Composition and Literature courses using Blackboard (LMS). Integrated Cengage Write Experience, My Writing Lab, and MindTap into English composition courses.

Oversaw all budgetary, recruiting, faculty management, and training initiatives within the academic department. Maintained appropriate records and data meeting SACS COC accreditation requirements. Implemented student success initiatives in General Education courses. Oversaw academic testing, academic advising, managed instructional programs, scheduling, departmental faculty credentials, departmental budget, and the outcomes assessment process for students taking general education courses. Recruited faculty and staff. Reviewed IDEA Survey results. Trained faculty using F2F and blended formats using eCollege (LMS). Taught college composition, business and technical writing, as well as writing for film courses.
