I am honoured to join the Windsor-Essex Ontario Health Team as the Health Integrated Lead/Project Management Lead. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the WEOHT and play a role in advancing healthcare integration and patient-centered care in our community.

My passion is community engagement. Whether it's engaging stakeholders, connecting different organizations together, or finding new opportunities to help our community, I know Workforce WindsorEssex is a strong and valued partner for many organizations.As Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, my focus is on building and maintaining strong community partnerships, expanding our community engagement and planning work, and leading internal professional development efforts.

I leverage over twenty years of newcomer service delivery experience when working with stakeholders to create a community framework where newcomers and citizens can achieve a high quality of life together.This position provides me with opportunities to utilize my experience with facilitating community conversations and implementing sustainable solutions for the successful integration of newcomers to the Windsor Essex region.As a part of the Workforce team, Michelle facilitates opportunities to improve labour market outcomes for immigrants by reaching out to employers and demonstrating how diversity enriches the workplace.

Executive Director: Workforce WindsorEssexAs the Executive Director of Workforce WindsorEssex., I worked with a team of 14 and a volunteer board of directors to foster a stronger understanding of current and future workforce needs in Windsor Essex. I facilitated community partnerships to support strategic investment in education, training and employment opportunities in our region. I also had the opportunity to utilize my experience in the development and delivery of community programming in addition to facilitating community conversations and implementing sustainable solutions in the role. As the Executive Director, I also held the responsibilities of the Community Connector for the Windsor Essex Local Immigration Partnership (WE LIP).

• Provided strategic direction and support to a team of employment professionals• Ensured monthly and annual targets were met • Chaired organizational committees and liaised with over 45 community partners • Reduced employee turnover and improved communication between staff and departments• Secured government funding for a curriculum pilot project • Initiated new program delivery opportunities with community organizations• Scheduled, prepared and updated program material to meet with needs of participants• Established and coordinated an annual Conference for Internationally Trained Professionals for three years
