The Franklin School of Innovation, a 6th through 12th grade school, is dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders, capable of solving problems and participating effectively and ethically as local and global citizens. Through challenging academics, real-world learning, and community engagement, our will students discover their potential, develop persistence, and recognize the value of others. Franklin is an Expeditionary Learning (EL) school. EL is a proven instructional model, based on research from the Harvard School of Education and the Outward Bound program. By partnering with Expeditionary Learning (EL), The Franklin School joins a network of over 150 schools, 4,000 teachers, and 45,000 students from all across the United States.Franklin opened in August, 2014 and moved to its permanent campus along Sardis Road in Asheville, NC in January 2015.
