Developed an independent project studying the effects of NK cells on a body’s ability to attack cancer cells under PI Per H. Basse, MD, PhD, DMSci. Gained experience utilizing cryostat, microscopes, and centrifuges while completing own lab project and assisting PI with work. Program was supplemented by graduate-level lectures on cancer and analyzations of published material to further understanding. My final research was presented at Hillman Cancer Center to all faculty and peers.
