I enjoy my work for the Capital One Cafe, where I have had the privilege of working as a Shift Lead alongside my cafe team as well as with Capital One bank ambassadors. Our cafe's unique collaboration with the bank has created an enriching work environment that has allowed me to develop my skills in customer service, latte art, and overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality work and service while introducing our cafe's promotions to engage new customers. This role has offered me more exposure to efficient cash handling, management work, and involvement with inventory organization.I've really enjoyed this past year in this position, and I look forward to the continual growth I see in my role!

As a dedicated Barista and Shift Lead at Tom N Toms Galleria, located next to a high-volume mall, I honed my skills in drink and food preparation, team leadership, and customer service. Some of my responsibilities included creating and serving a wide range of hand-crafted caffeinated beverages and food items, from pastries to pretzels and other dough-based items. In this position, I was also given the responsibility to plan, delegate, and oversee daily prep work and deep cleans, as well as managing a team of baristas in opening and closing tasks and daily operations. I worked hard to maintain high standards of service and product quality, maintaining professional and engaged relationships with customers and my coworkers. My time as a Tom N Toms Barista has honed my expertise and management skills, allowing me to manage high-stress situations and develop leadership and customer service skills vital to the success of a lively coffee shop.

During my time at Volcano Hot Pot and BBQ, I was given the unique opportunity to work as a Host and Server in this all-you-can-eat restaurant. While I worked primarily as a Host, I gained invaluable experience on the floor as well, where I was able to directly assist and welcome customers, develop my organizational skills in efficiently managing seating arrangements and server sections, as well as develop a comprehensive understanding of our menu while paying attention to customer allergens. I also directly collaborate with the other teams in hosting, serving, and in the kitchen to ensure smooth operations and communicate effectively. I took great dedication in working beyond my role and assisting wherever I was needed, including creating informational and promotional signs, creating detailed training guides, and assisting in bussing and restocking in both the host and server stations. Overall, this experience contributed significantly to my development in food service and my communication, as I utilized both English and Mandarin Chinese while serving customers over varying modes of communication, both in person and through the phone, and I'm very grateful for the opportunity I received to work alongside many differing individuals in providing excellent customer service.
