My passion for technology started in my childhood. More precisely, when I got my hands on an AMD 5x86 computer. In the early days, we needed to know a little bit about command- lines to run certain MS-DOS games. And it was at that moment that everything started. To be honest, I had to format this computer several times due to my deep "expeditions" into operating system internals, but that served as motivation to learn more and more about this field.And the time passed. Now, I'm a software engineer with over 16 years of experience. I have working experience with many programming languages, with a particularly strong foundation in the Java ecosystem. But something I really learned during my career is that we should keep ourselves as language-agnostic as possible. We are software engineers after all, and so we need to have contact with several different tech stacks throughout the years. For instance, I've written software professionally using Node.js (Javascript/Typescript, MERN and MEAN), Golang, PHP (Symfony) and others.Some key accomplishments I'm proud of:- I built a PostgreSQL version migration tool that managed to update from PostgreSQL 8.3 to 9.5 on about 7K instances around the whole of Brazil. This helped improve the system's security and stability, and we also observed a performance gain of 10% according to the company's internal benchmarking.- I made a sales suggestion tool using a data mining algorithm called FP-Growth.- I worked at a company that had its own proxy hub, responsible for connecting some crawlers to external proxies. I optimized the internal architecture of this solution using a technique called proxy-chaining, resulting in fewer false positives detection in WAFs. I also implemented a feature that allowed tracking the costs of external proxies according to the consumption of each request.In my spare time, I like to travel, play video games, read books, and go out with friends.
